Ruth Lucas

Ruth joined the firm in March 2023 and works in the Private Client Team dealing with a broad variety of Wills, Powers of Attorney, Deputyship applications, Administration of Estates and Personal Tax Planning, with a special interest in Older Client matters. Ruth qualified as a Solicitor in 1989.

Ruth holds a degree in Law and after training locally in a well-known law firm in Bournemouth she progressed to Associate Solicitor and specialised in Family Law.

After a career break in 2003 to bring up her children, between 2004-2017 Ruth lectured at Bournemouth University on the Legal Practice Course on Wills, Private Client, Family and other legal skills areas.

Ruth joined a Ringwood law firm as a Private Client Solicitor in 2016 and became a Director there in 2020.

Ruth is a member of the BDLS and a fully accredited member of The Association of Lifetime Lawyers and prides herself on a professional, yet caring and approachable, service to her clients.

Outside of work Ruth enjoys motorhome holidays with her husband and dog, sings with “The St George’s Singers” in charity concerts and is Treasurer of The Caterpillar Club Pre-school, Ferndown.
