Residential Leasehold

Bournemouth has historically had more long leasehold residential development than any town outside London. We have had a long connection with some of the larger freehold owners of such development and hence have developed considerable experience in this area.

This has led also to representing leasehold owners where there is no conflict with the interests of the freehold owners for whom we act.

It also resulted in our having expertise in the area of the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal

Our services include:

  • negotiating claims to the freehold acquisition of a building (also known as enfranchisement)
  • claims to an extended lease
  • the right to manage a building
  • service charges problems
  • first refusal for the lessees on the disposal of the landlord’s interest
